Testimonials Prenatal Yoga

As a teacher I am interested in holding space for my students, offering a practice that honors their needs and intentions.

This is the gift that we have shared

Prenatal Classes

Vanessa's prenatal course was extremely helpful for my husband and I! It was a crucial introduction of what to expect at the time of labor, getting to know all our delivery rights and options. Thanks to her guidance and having her as my doula, I was able to have a drug-free delivery, just as I dreamt of even before being pregnant.

Prenatal Yoga

Having done my 200 hour yoga certification while in my first and second trimester, I'm uniquely qualified to vouch for the incredible power and strength I found in my yoga practice. In labor you need to have a solid foundation in three things: meditation, pranayama, and flexibility in the mind and body. It's a process you must surrender to, and I deeply believe if not for yoga, I couldn't have been prepared for my home birth. I was able to go inward and be at peace through my 20 hour labor, which I don't think is the typical birthing experience. Some would say I'm lucky, but I would say I manifested a perfect birth through yoga.  Stella is a product of my yoga practice and it shows in her spirit and generally happy demeanor. She's a baby yogi from in the womb.
